Pastor Chris Hodges contrasting religions with a relationship with God. This also applies to progressivism/liberalism/leftism – because their belief system is powerless to transform individuals, and thus societies, into the fair and equal paradise they promise, and as a result they must demand conformity and punish those who dissent. This is why socialist nations eventually turn against their citizens who publicly disagree with those in charge. Socialism is powerless to transform the individual, and without that individual transformation the society is not changed by the free will of the people and must be changed by the force of law and government.
