Welcome to turning a new page!

For the past couple of years Dave Mack and I have brought you The Mark & Mack Show, both on local radio and as a podcast. Dave also did his own daily program, and we discussed the possibility of me taking on a show of my own as well. In the bigger picture of our syndication plans it made sense to add a solo effort for me to compliment his.

Due to the way things worked for us, with Dave running the show from the radio station studio and me digitally connecting from my own studio, as well as the requirements of my regular job, it was difficult for me to carve out the time for producing a daily show. So it never happened.

Until now.

My job situation changed along the way, freeing me up to focus solely on the radio show, and when we parted ways with our last station I decided after a few weeks to keep producing a daily web version of our show while we searched for another local radio station to serve as home for the show. Dave was busy, I had the time, and so the web edition happened.

After handling things solo for a little while I decided to move on to producing my own show rather than a solo version of our two man show. After all, that’s what I was actually doing anyway so why not just go ahead and rebrand what I was doing and keep producing the show each day as my own?

For several years I had a blog where I published my observations about the various aspects of life. When Facebook came along I began publishing those blog posts to my page, which I called “The Daily Perspective”. So, when I was thinking over possibilities for a name for the podcast I decided to adopt the Facebook/blog name because it’s the essence of what I’ve been doing everyday on the web show. I’ve even referred to what I’ve been doing as my daily perspective on life, the universe and everything (minus any discussions of the number 42 – sorry, HHGTG fans.)

So, as they say, here we are.

This program is going to be the same program I’ve been doing already, except for the name and a few little tweaks. So rest assured that nothing important about the show is going to change, only the wrapper.
